Developed a unified staffing marketplace to transform per diem and travel nursing from a patchwork of legacy systems into a single digital-first platform.

Context

AMN Healthcare's per diem staffing business was lagging other lines in revenue and profitability, running on multiple disconnected systems for scheduling, credentialing, and job matching. The underlying question was whether a genuinely digital-first staffing business could be built inside a large, legacy healthcare organization, and whether it could move the needle financially rather than simply modernizing for its own sake.

What I Did

• Owned the end-to-end build of a Healthcare Job Management Marketplace, unifying credentialing, shift management, and CRM into a single platform.
• Directed a location-based licensing and credential-verification system, keeping every clinician's placement compliant with state- and facility-specific requirements.
• Rebuilt the synchronization layer connecting AMN's multiple scheduling and credentialing systems onto a unified, serverless architecture, replacing conflicting hard-coded business logic and enabling automatic processing of tens of thousands of shifts every week.
• Redesigned the credentialing packet workflow using a participatory, human-centered process, cutting the time to compile and send a single packet from 20 minutes to under 5.
• Directed integration between Applicant Tracking and Vendor Management Systems, and coordinated growth experiments and marketing campaigns to drive adoption.
